Raised satin fill

Sampling 1

Step satin fill and raised satin fill

I have been making trial samples for a banner for my church and thought I would try out the ‘raised satin fill’.  Wow!  I recommend everyone try this out because it is so effective.  I have a 780 and V7 software.  I ironed a firm iron-on Vilene to the back of the silk fabric and used at least one layer of Ricky Tim’s Stable Stuff polyester stabilizer.  This is a wonderfully soft stabilizer that you can leave in your work as it washes – if you want to.

In the raised fill you can choose how many layers you want to build up the area.

In the picture below you can see the difference between a normal step satin filled and the raised satin fill.  I will definitely be using the raised satin fill.
