Seriously, where did December go? Does anyone know what happens to all my spare time in December, because if you do, I’m happy to pay to get some back!
As I count down to the big day, it’s time for all that last minute stuff like, grocery shopping, cooking and of course gift wrapping. I will confess I always find wrapping gifts stressful. My sister has always had the ability to wrap even the most odd shaped present and make it look beautiful. I on the other hand, always end up with a tangled mess of torn paper and stuck sticky tape. Well if I can’t make the gift themselves look pretty, at least I can whip up some last minute gift tags.
Gift tags are actually easier that you think especially if you cheat! I started with a pack of blank gift cards that you can pick up almost anywhere this time of year. Thread your BERNINA with a festive coloured thread and change to a sharp needle (I used a Jeans #80).
Now it’s time to pick your stitches. Keep it simple, don’t pick anything to intense or elaborate. If you aren’t sure, test it out first so you don’t chew up a gift tag.
You can do straight lines, wavy lines or really anything you want it always looks good. And the best part, these 5 tags took all of 10 minutes to do.
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
See you all in 2016.
