Brand-new: Discover the product range of bernette

“bernette for my ideas”, that’s the slogan of the new bernette machines, which have been officially launched at the International Trade Fair for Crafts and Hobby in Cologne last weekend. The machines are available in the retail markets of Germany and Austria by the end of April. With the trendy new bernette machines of the b30 and b40 series, BERNINA is especially targeting young needlewomen. Since bernette is a brand of the BERNINA textile group, good quality for attractive prices is the motto of the new sewing and overlocker models.

Detailed information about all the machines, you’ll find on the website of bernette.

b30 Serie – the bernette sewing machine repertoire

The basic model b33 is perfectly suitable for beginners with little experience. The two front knobs of this sewing machine allow comfortable adjustments.

The b35 is the second new mechanical model and offers a total of 23 utility and decorative stitches. All manual adjustments such as thread tension, stitch width and length can be controlled via the three front rotary knobs.

The computer-controlled b38 is the top model of the new bernette sewing machine series. Creative seamstresses are able to realize their sewing projects with a total of 394 different engravings.

The bernette 37 is the smaller computer-controlled sister model of the b38. It offers about 50 stitch patterns with a maximum stitch width of 7 mm. In both computer-controlled models, the stitches are conveniently selected by using buttons. A clear LC display shows the settings.

b40 Serie – the funlock Overlocker-modelsoverlock-modell-b48

The new Funlock Overlocker models of bernette are the perfect companion for the sewing machines. The b42 Funlock cover stitch machine allows stitching on seams and the creation of cuffs. The model with its four stitches is especially suitable for stretchy fabrics or thin knitwear like jersey. The overlocker machine b44 Funlock offers 15 different stitches, which can be easily adjusted by a rotary knob. For safe handling and good visibility, the blade drive for clean cut fabric edges comes from below.

The top model is the b48 Funlock, a combination of overlocker and cover stitch machine. There are 23 different stitches which are composed of 15 overlock stitches, three cover-stitches, four combo-stitches and a chain stitch. Threading is facilitated by color-coded thread paths and a manual needle threader on all three models of the b40 Funlock series.

Looking for a sewing machine that will last. I just sew cloths and home decor. Don’t want to spend $1,000. Would like medal not plastic parts. Don’t need embroidery or quilting. Any help would be great. Vinnie Ryan
