BERNINA Triangle QAL – Block 10

With Block 9 of the BERNINA Triangle Quilt Along, we got the new year off to a cozy start. Only two blocks were needed in the new raw edge appliqué technique. It went so quickly that many of you have already begun to cut the remaining triangles.

The new block in the Triangle Quilt Along uses the same technique, which by now is a piece of cake for you. To refresh your memory:

The technique is described in detail here.

Triangle no. 10 from the Triangle Quilt Along

First, print out the attached paper pattern.

Once again, cut out a standard-size triangle, a small piece of contrasting material (approx. 2″ x 2″), and a piece of Vliesofix of the same size.

Using the newly learned technique, cut out the circle with the iron-on interfacing and use your best judgment to place it in the middle of the triangle.

After the pattern has been ironed on, sew it on using an overcasting stitch on the sewing machine.

We need 4 of these triangles.
