Sew a blouse – Free sewing pattern and instructions for the “Eva” blouse (only in September)

We’re offering you another free sewing pattern from “inspiration”. This month, we are providing you with the sewing pattern and instructions for a blouse that we can sew together.

As with last month’s “Kiara” kimono, you’ll have to act quickly again! The sewing pattern will be available until the end of the month, that is until September 30 2020. The download link for the pattern is available below in the article.

Are you too late, but really want to sew the blouse? You can find the pattern in our online shop:

Sew a blouse – Eva

Lots of attractive details, such as the relief embroidery on the wide sleeves, the piping and the trimmed button placket, make this blouse special.

The relief embroidery on the sleeves is particularly eye-catching.

A subtle button placket graces the back of the blouse.

Issue 72 of inspiration

The “Eva” blouse is from issue 72 of inspiration. The blouse – together with a pleated skirt – even adorns the cover of this autumn issue:

By the way: The sewing instructions for the pleated skirt seen in the picture above are also available in inspiration issue 72.

Are you interested in having the entire issue? If so, you can easily buy the single issue in the online shop: www.bernina.com/inspiration-72

Download the sewing pattern for the “Eva” blouse (only during September 2020)

You can download the free sewing pattern for the “Eva” blouse via the following link:

www.bernina.com/september2020

The link takes you to the BERNINA website. The pattern is available to download during the month of September after registering for the BERNINA inspiration newsletter.

Unzip the zip file with the pattern

After downloading, you will have a zip file. In the extracted folder you will find:

  • Sewing instructions with information on materials, cutting out and sewing
  • An A4 size pattern for these sizes 36 to 48. You can print them out on your regular printer at home and stick them together. Make sure you print out the pattern using the “original size” setting. Check the test square to make sure the pattern has been printed out in the correct size.

In the article about the “Grace” pants, which was offered as a free download in February, some readers commented that the download did not work for them. Therefore, please note that clicking the download button will automatically download the zip file to your computer. You will have to unzip it to access the PDF pattern for the dress. In Windows, you do this by right clicking on the file and clicking on the menu item “Extract all”. On a Mac, you can unzip zip files by double clicking the left mouse button.

Downloaded files are generally automatically put into the downloads folder, but this depends on the operating system, the device used and your local settings. If you download the file on your smartphone and cannot find the file or cannot unzip it, please try using a desktop computer.

Missed the download?

Do you want to sew the blouse, but missed the download for the pattern? No problem! You can order the magazine as a single issue (including the printed pattern) from the shop and have it delivered to your home. Simply click on the following link: www.bernina.com/bluse-Eva

Have fun and good luck with your sewing!

Best wishes,
Jasmin

Hi, Is there any way to get the instructions only in English, the patterns themselves are not an issue just the instructions. I accidently downloaded from the German site last year. Think I have done this with a few by mistake. Any help would be apprecited. Thanks

Hi, Jasmin:  I downloaded the Eva blouse pattern today and everything went fine until I clicked on the A0 pattern.  I am in the U.S. and can’t read a word on the pattern.  The instructions were fine, but the actual pattern is written in a language I can’t read or speak.  Can this be translated; and, if so, how do I do that?  Thank you.
