Classic styles are not boring, and minimal does not necessarily mean eliminating all decorative details. This is demonstrated by the “Birthe” T-shirt, for which you can find a free pattern in this post.
The “Birthe” T-shirt comes from our magazine “inspiration”. We are offering you the step-by-step instructions showing you how to sew the T-shirt and the pattern as part of the series of free monthly downloads from “inspiration”.
However, you’ll have to be quick again because the free download is only available until the end of April 2021. You can find the link for the pattern below in the post.

Sewing the “Birthe” T-shirt
Sunshine, clouds, rain. The “Birthe” T-shirt is just the thing when the weather turns a little crazy in April.
Made of slightly bulkier winter jersey fabric and with a straight neckline, the T-shirt is particularly cozy. The synthetic leather inserts and understated fake pocket give it a certain flair, while the embroidery with metallic thread adds a touch of elegance.
Our tip for what to wear it with: the “Sarah” skirt from the same issue of inspiration. Pleated skirts are very comfortable and the slightly stretchy material used here further accentuates this effect.
Issue 03/2020 of inspiration
The pattern and sewing instructions for the “Birthe” T-shirt appeared in the autumn/winter 2020 issue of “inspiration”. The magazine contains many more patterns and instructions for fashion and home accessories.
The 03/2020 issue is available as a single issue in the inspiration online shop at the following link:

In addition to the handbag, the long blue coat and the spotted dress, the issue also contains many other great sewing projects, including various upcycling projects made from old jeans.

Please note that clicking the download button will automatically download the zip file to your computer. You will have to unzip it to access the PDF pattern. In Windows, you do this by right clicking on the file and clicking on the menu item “Extract all”. On a Mac, you can unzip zip files by double clicking the left mouse button.

A link to a video making this shirt would be fabulous.
I’ve tried several times on both my phone and my computer to download this pattern but each time it goes to “looking for this page” in German. What am I doing wrong?
I will contact you via Mail in order to find the problem 🙂
