Doris Brechbühl

Doris (1964), hat schon in jungen Jahren auf der BERNINA 730 der Mutter nähen gelernt. Geboren und aufgewachsen in der Schweiz wurde auch in der Schule ausschliesslich auf BERNINA genäht. Während der Ausbildung zur Damenschneiderin kam sie erstmals in Kontakt mit Overlockern und die Liebe zu Overlock- und Coverstichen ist seit damals gewachsen. Doris näht hauptsächlich elastische und hochelastische Bekleidung aus Jersey oder dehnbaren Stoffen, mit hohem Tragekomfort. Overlock- und Coverstichmaschinen sind aus dem Nähzimmer nicht mehr wegzudenken. Der aktuelle Nähpark umfasst BERNINA 1260, bernette 334DS, L 460, L 220, L 850, L 890, B 880plus.

Doris hat in den 1990er Jahren bei BERNINA gearbeitet und danach in verschiedenen Industrien weitere Erfahrungen gesammelt - meist in Verbindung mit Produktverkauf und Kundenschulungen in internationalem Umfeld. Seit 2013 ist sie wieder bei BERNINA in Steckborn im Ausbildungsteam, arbeitet mit Entwicklung, Produktmanagement und Marketing zusammen um produktbezogene Unterlagen wie Anleitungsvideos, Zubehörvideos, Kundenschulungen und Prospekte zu produzieren.

Doris (1964), has been starting to sew at the age of 5 on her mothers BERNINA 730. Born and raised in Switzerland, she visited swiss schools that at the time were equipped with BERNINA machines, another place to get the BERNINA virus. The first contact with overlock machines happened during her education to become a dressmaker, and that was love at first sight. Preferring to sew knitted and stretchy fabrics for comfortable clothing, to live without overlockers and coverstitch machines is unthinkable. That love to overlock stitches and coverstitches has increased since.
Other than sewing stretchy materials, Doris also embroiders and, if time permits, works with the software or designworks. The current machines in use go from BERNINA 1260, bernette 334DS, L 220 to L 850, L 890 and B 880 plus - depending on project and sewing techniques used - there is just not enough time to do it all.

Doris has been working with BERNINA in the 1990s, then sampled other industry experience, often including consumer and customer education in international business. Since 2013 Doris is back at BERNINA and in the education team involved with overlock development, supporting marketing materials such as product tutorial, accessory tutorial videos and and customer education.
