I'm 53 years old (going on 54 in a few days), I'm from Brazil, I'm a self taught sewist. I love patchwork and quilting. I also do some embroidery. I love playing with needle and threads. I bought my first sewing machine in 2006. It was a very simple mechanical model. I read the manual and began creating small gifts for the family and for my son's teachers. Then, in 2013 I bought an electronic machine with a few decorative stitches. This has been my BFF since then. I have collected three prizes in quilting festivals in Brazil. In my first participation in a contest I was second place in the greatest festival in Brazil, in 2017. Then, last year I won two honorable mention in two different festivals. My quilts are a reflection of me. I put my memories and feelings on them. I like to share these feelings and see how people react to them when they are quilted.
