After trying different ways of expressing her creativity she found an infinite way through patchwork techniques and has been developing and studying since the year 2000.
First she was interested in the regular forms of the most traditional way of handmade quilting, but soon found machine piecing, and quilting and the freedom of forms that free motion quilting gives all her works.
She has a family sewing machine shop in Madrid where she works with her sister and husband, and she´s been teaching patchwork and quilting since 2004.
In search of an artistic way of expressing her creativity she began in 2013 to present her works to Quilt Festivals in Spain, where her quilt “Regeneración de Elementos” won first prize in the artistic category and later was finalist in The International Quilt Festival in Houston.
She received various honorable mentions and 2nd place in Original Design for “Under the Sea” in Sitges Quilt Festival in Spain.

Her love for teaching has taken her internationally to Ireland where she taught quilting and machine applique.
Marisa participates in the Spanish Magazine “Patchwork Secrets”, with her works.
She belongs to different international organizations: The Quilt Alliance where her works have been on display in “Quilters Take Manhattan”, one of her works won an award, and it was sold at auction.
