I am a 33 year old textile artist/art quilter living in Christchurch, the city made famous for it's terrible earthquakes in 2010-11. I love modern art, design, illustration and art quilting. I am also currently involved with the Social Media for Christchurch Symposium 2017 and I am the Canterbury Representative for the New Zealand National Quilt Guild Aotearoa Quilters. I have been quilting for 4 years, I've been exhibiting nationally since I started quilting and I entered Houston International Quilt Festival for the first time this year, my quilt New York Lights will be on display there in the Celebration exhibition when it opens on the 29th October. I love free motion quilting, using lumiere metallic paints, shiva oil paint sticks and steam-a-seam. I love my Bernina 770QE I got earlier this year, it is a joy to sew on.
