Quilt-As-You-Go Old Blocks

Description

I’ve decided to try out (for the first time) a quilt-as-you-go method for the Old Block Quilt Along.
While waiting for the latest drop I started prepping my blocks with batting and backing, and watched loads of videos to learn how to connect them. Anyone else doing QAYG?

I always consider this but have yet to try.  My big problem is the connecting and always stops me.  Have you decided which way you are going to use?

      Yes!

I watched a million videos and finally decided. I’ve been connecting the fronts (sewing right sides together with a quarter inch seam).

On the reverse I’m trimming the batting to meet, connecting with fusible batting tape, the hand stitching it closed.  I choose a busy, tiny calico for my backing for this purpose.
