I am a corsetiere from The Netherlands, I design and make made to measure corsets and also teach masterclasses in the art of corsetry.

I have always loved working with fabrics and after finishing fashion school in The Netherlands I moved to London where I got a job in a lovely fabric and haberdashery shop. Whilst in London I discovered my love for corsets and I delved into a world which still inspires me today, 14 years later. I started working for Vivienne Westwood and after a year I started a clothing line with a sweet friend. We specialised in Victorian inspired alternative fashion and corsetry.

Since I moved back to The Netherlands my life has changed a lot, I became a mum of a gorgeous boy. So other than making lots of corsets and little unmentionables I now also make small clothes for my son. At the end of 2014 one of my friends who I share the love of fashion with asked me if I wanted to join her in a televised sewing competition called "Door het Oog van de Naald" (Through the Eye of the Needle). I agreed it would be an fantastic adventure and ultimate test of my dressmaking skills. After a fun and exciting race against time and tricky challenges we came out as the winners, such a great honour! Since the competition ended I've started teaching masterclasses in the art of corsetry and also plan to share many of my projects on here.
