Here are my finished sections. I did not have a space where I could get a photo of all 3 together. (I hope that it will suffice for entry into the contest)
I chose to do the 3 sections as I am looking forward to learning a new quilting technique. I usually put the entire top together with the batting and backing; if it is a quilt that I want to keep or gift, then I send it to a long-arm quilter. I have not quilted many complete quilts on my home machine, so hope that doing it in sections will be an option going forward.
I have learned so many new skills and techniques throughout this QAL. And, I can certainly see an improvement in my sewing skills from Part 1 – Part 12. Thank you for that, Irene. I think my favourite rows, though, were the paper pieced ones and I have tried other FPP projects while doing this QAL. I don’t think that I will be seeking out reverse applique any time soon!
I look forward to seeing the other finished quilts. It is amazing how so very different they are and I love seeing the creativity that some have been able to put into it to truly make the quilts their own creations.
