Center star is sewn as are the HST chevron blocks and diamond in square blocks. I’m very happy with my color choices. Sewing the two final center diamond pieces together was a little challenging in that I could not iron the star flat the first time I sewed rectangle E to the two diamond units. Hopefully, the rest of the quilt top will come together with minimal challenges!

Did anyone else struggle assembling the center medallion square? I consider myself to be a strong intermediate sewist, but I sure spent a lot of time with “Jack” trying to sew L to the diamond + K portion. I ended up having to “fudge” the seam so that the long diagonal edge was close to straight from point to point.
