Description
I didn’t realize how off the cross stripes were until I turned the star to square up the sides. So, I decided to sew a second centerpiece, being mindful to carefully cut and sew each section. The results are much better; the crosses are better aligned, but I still found assembling the parts challenging. I must not know the secret to sewing bias pieces together or perhaps how to properly square up a piece when working with diamond shapes. I did use stash fabrics—alternating white diamonds with the original low-light cream diamonds and adding a splash of a light mint fabric to complement the background fabric. Moving onward!
