Completed: Living Greenland – Sugaridoo QAL

Description

Here’s my interpretation of Sugaridoo QAL.

I am a beginner quilter and I chose all these bright, warm happy and cool colors because I live in South Greenland. Home of icebergs, northern lights, fantastic sunsets and a huge ice sheet. Here in South Greenland during the spring, the landscape turns to all kinds of colors. Arctic flowers burst with color so they can complete their life cycle in a hurry. There are many brightly painted houses of all colors. In the fall there is plenty of fauna to turn all kinds of hues in fall colors. In the winter there is snow on the ground and because the houses are painted in color it really makes it look like a post card. A place filled with peace insulated from the rest of the world’s turmoil. Thank you, Irene, for this super pattern that has challenged me while teaching me new skills as well. Thank you, Brook & Karen, for doing all that you could to help. Thank you to all the members who commented with their positive comments that pushed me to move on until I accomplished what was holding me back!!!!
