Advent calendar 2017 – the 24th door

Dear BERNINA blog readers

On behalf of the whole BERNINA team and all BERNINA bloggers, I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 🙂

We would like to thank you for your loyalty and your interest in all the contents of the BERNINA blog. We are very pleased that you take the opportunity to read and write here!

2017 was an eventful year for BERNINA and the BERNINA Blog. We have launched new products, such as the embroidery software BERNINA Toolbox, there was a new embroidery alphabet to collect, and many nice projects were published in our community area. I would like to point out our two Quilt-Alongs, which are both very successful – The Crazy Colours Mystery Quilt by Sylvia and the Triangle Quilt Along by Brigitte. These Quilt-Alongs inspire many blog readers to start patching and quilting, which is awesome.

Thank you very much for participating in this eventful year as readers, contributing with comments, project pictures, Facebook-Likes and Pinterest-Shares. We hope that you will also visit the blog next year and stick with us! 2018 will be a very special year: starting in January we will celebrate the 125th anniversary of our company and will offer you a whole series of “golden” sewing, embroidery and patchwork instructions. It will be just great!

Win a Gift Box worth 100 $

This article is the 24th door of our Advent Calendar 2017 and thus the last door for this year’s Advent Calendar.

Since we chose the motto “Celebrate Christmas at the table”, we would like to give you a special treat for Christmas, we are giving away a gift box with specialities from Switzerland, the home canton of BERNINA. The gift box is filled with some cheese, sausages, many sweets and Swiss chocolate, and much more 😉

How to take part in the raffle?

Would you like to win this great gift box? Then write a comment below that you would like to take part in the raffle and why you deserve this gift box. You can enter your comment up to 2 January 2018. The prize draw will then take place on 3 January 2018. Shortly afterwards, the gift will be sent out making it a slightly late Christmas present.

We look forward to receiving your comments and are keeping our fingers crossed for you for the prize draw in the new year. 🙂

Best wishes,

Caro Behnisch

PS: The BERNINA team will be on holiday between December 23, 2017 and January 3, 2018. If you have any questions about the Advent calendar or the lottery, we will not be able to answer them until January 3, 2018. Thank you for your understanding.

I love my smart Bernina, it really is so sweet, it makes my sewing SO much better and fixing things a treat. A little sister sewing machine, would really suit me well, as then my sewing could move about, for classes, lessons and  retreats

I deserve to receive this gift box prize because I have not only been a very loyal, dedicated Bernina machine owner, but also an award-winning dealer in the U.S.  I have owned an 830 Record, 930, 1230, 1630, 150, 180E, 200E, 730E, B830LE, and B880 PLUS; 234, 1300MDC serger; DesignerPlus software V4-8.1; and DesignWorks software and accessories.  As a retired dealer, I continue to share my knowledge and expertise with consumers online and continuously promote the Bernina brand.   I plan to die with my “Bernina Boots” on!

I would LOVE to take part in the raffle!  I desperately need a new machine because of my ever-growing list of UFO’s!  I’ve never owned a Bernina before,  I’m 71, and I need a magnificent machine to help me try to finish them before I die – or turn 100, whichever comes first!  ?

Would love to be part of this raffle and why would I love to win it is I love my Bernina 1130 which I saved up for and purchased as a 21st Birthday present to myself.  It has been a very good machine and we have made many things over the years starting with my wedding dress through to lots of clothes, quilts and dancing costumes.  So I think it’s time to let it have  a well deserved semi retirement as I don’t think it can fully retire just yet.

Would love to be included in your draw, I love my “Nina” and I’ve been really very very good this year and made lots of advent calendars for each of my grandchildren and godchildren and other seasonal goodies for friends and family 🙂 ……. honest. Happy Christmas to you all at Bernina and keep on sewing.

I would like to take part in this raffle but I can’t sday why I deserve it over anyone else. I will not be doing anything this Christmas as my husband is incapacitated after having a fall and hurtinghis knee. I will have my hands full looking after him but it would be nice to get some special treats that I haven’t been able to go out for. Actually nice is too mild a word it would be such a blessing.

I have been sewing since I was 7 years old, in the Second World War, using the scraps from any needlewoman to make doll’s clothes. My Bernina is now nearly 40 years old and my youngest granddaughter is 7 years old, and, in her own words, “ever since you showed me how to sew I have been fascinated with sewing” . I long to teach her more.
