Today starts the fifth edition of the #REFEBULOUS challenge. An lustrum year! February is dedicated to this sustainable challenge on Instagram. Are you in?

REFEBULOUS’ mission

Once again, the mission of this sustainable FEBruari challenge is to encourage and inspire each other to make something REFEBULOUS again. Give clothes or materials a second chance. Think RErepair, REfashion, REuse and even REstyling clothes/fabrics. I call on all makers, thrifters and also (self-appointed) stylists to revisit something they already have, found at the thrift store or almost threw away and give it a new life.

How to participate?

During the month of February, share at least one post or Reels on your Instagram account. Stories are also cool, but they don’t count. Your account is (temporarily) public, otherwise only your followers can see it.
Tag @madebyLIESL (in caption) & add #REFEBULOUS and #REFEBULOUS2024.

#REFEBULOUS 2024

This year, there are no specific categories. You can participate just by sharing a plan, something you’ve had an idea for ages but don’t yet have the courage or the right approach for. Your plan may already inspire others and they may have tips for you. Or you share your progress on a project, what went well and what challenges you are facing. Maybe you will manage to share a finished project before the end of the month.

So it’s mainly about sharing your process, perfection is not necessary. We create awareness to deal sustainably with the materials we already have, every little step counts!
