Free pattern for sewing “Aida” blouse (March only)

To mark the start of spring in March, this month we are giving you the free pattern for the “Aida” blouse from our “inspiration” magazine.

As in previous months, you’ll have to be quick, as the pattern for the “Aida” blouse is only available for free download in March 2021. You can download the pattern for free until 03/31/2021. You can find the download link for the pattern below in the article.

Sew the “Aida” blouse

“Aida” is a loose-fitting blouse that goes perfectly with pants, shorts or a skirt. With the hem tucked loosely into the waistband, it looks stylishly casual and lightweight.

Planning on a trip into the city ? Instead of jeans, try pairing it with fashionable checked pants. They are super comfortable, just right for trendy young women! The lightweight blouse is the ideal companion for this style of pants.

The pattern is available in sizes 36 to 48.

Issue 03/2020 of inspiration

The pattern and sewing instructions for the “Aida” blouse appeared in the autumn/winter 2020 issue of “inspiration”. The magazine contains many more patterns and instructions for fashion and home accessories.

You can download the sewing pattern for the “Aida” blouse free of charge via the following link:

The link takes you to the BERNINA website. The pattern is available to download free of charge during the month of March after you register for the BERNINA inspiration newsletter.

Pattern for check pants. Perfect to combine with the "Aida" blouse

Unzip the zip file containing the pattern

After downloading, you will have a zip file. In the extracted folder you will find:

  • Sewing instructions with information on materials, cutting out and sewing
  • A pattern in A4 format. You can print this out on your regular printer at home and stick the sheets together. Make sure you print out the pattern using the “original size” setting. Check the test square to make sure the pattern has been printed out in the correct size.

Please note that clicking the download button will automatically download the zip file to your computer. You will have to unzip it to access the PDF pattern. In Windows, you do this by right clicking on the file and clicking on the menu item “Extract all”. On a Mac, you can unzip zip files by double clicking the left mouse button.

Downloaded files are generally automatically put into the downloads folder, but this depends on the operating system, the device used and your local settings. If you download the file on your smartphone and cannot find the file or cannot unzip it, please try using a desktop computer.
